Katie's Maternity Shoot Orange County Photographer

Katie was tons of fun to photograph. She has been living in Idaho for the past two months and was in town for her baby shower. Katie's baby shower was well attended by family and many close friends. She got tons of great gifts for her first baby and I am amazed by all the new gadgets and gizmos for babies these days. What will they think up next? I had to kidnap her at the end of her party to get started on our pictures because the rain was closing in and I knew time was of the essence.

Shooting in the street was new. I took a broom along to make sure it wasn't too dirty to lie down on. The neighbors really thought I was bonkers sweeping the street, let alone the word BUMP!!! Once Katie laid down, they got it! I only got about 10 shots in before the rain came with force. Katie was a great sport and did everything I asked her to do, from lying in the street, to the railroad tracks, to the Glendora City Tree, then to Puddingstone Lake.

The rain dropped in buckets just after shooting in the street, but we still decided to drive to the famous Glendora City Tree. Upon arriving there, the rain just stopped, I couldn't believe it. This tree is huge and loaded with graffiti, which gave it real charm. After the tree, we headed to Puddingstone Lake. The mustard weed was in full bloom everywhere and the rains made for great color with the growing grass. Katie made this shoot, and I can't wait to photograph her, Mike, and baby Cayden Scott after his arrival sometime in May.

I love this close up of Katie.

I loved her wedding ring.

My favorite shot of the day.

Next time the shoot will be Mom, Dad and baby Cayden!

Baby - Madilyn Elizabeth Kids Photographer

Little Maddie, as she is known by her family, is absolutely darling. She is the youngest of 6 kids, having 3 older brothers and 2 older sisters. This is a family that my husband, John and I love. Always lots of energy and excitement! We have photographed them now on several occasions and it is always fun. The day of little Maddie's shoot it was no different. Megan, who is 2, wanted to be right involved with what we were doing, so that is why she also made the blog. Megan was trying to help mom remove her nail polish for this shoot which developed into some tears from Megan, needless to say.

Maddie was quite content, even with all the activity from her older siblings going on all over the house. I guess that comes from having older siblings. We wanted to include a shot of all the kids with their new baby sister. That ended up being feet!!!

Megan loves the camera.

Who has the dirtiest feet? Is that you, Cameron?
