Ballet - Annemarie & Carol

This was a very fun shoot to do. I first met Annemarie and Carol when they were 3 1/2 and a toddler. Dancing has been one of their many passions along with Tap, Character and Mucisal Theatre. They dance at the Pasadena Civic Ballet.

Annemarie has the most amazing eyes.

Carol at the ballet bar.

Fifth position, that's in Ballet.

Ready, get set. . .

The hula hoop was for fun!

One of my favorite shots of the day.

I love this one too!

Having fun.

Thanks, Annemarie and Carol.

Holy Communion

For the past three years, I have had the opportunity to photograph First Holy Communion at St. Luke School.  I love to go and participate in this sacred event in these young children's lives.  The children are excited, full of energy and love to have their picture taken.  Each photo seems to have its own story.

One of the Five class pictures.

Dreaming. . .

Capturing the moment.

Father Rajan.

Posing for pictures after mass for all the parents.

Check out all those parents trying to get their shot.

I wonder if they knew I took THEIR picture?

A proud and loving hug.

Say. . .  what did I get from SRE?

Hey. . . I think it's a pin!

I love this in Black and White.

Brothers or Cousins?

Dancing with the. . .

Stars?

I think their girl shy.

I love her blue eyes.

Father Joseph.  I loved his story about his First Holy Communion in China.

Everyone receiving First Holy Communion, got a special pin after mass.

Can't wait to photograph First Holy Communion next year!

Kyle's 800 Meter Run

Every year the elementary schools locally in our city have a track meet with the 4th and 5th grades.  I was amazed at how many kids participated.   I was there to photograph Kyle run the 800 meter race.  Kyle raced against 4th graders from each of the elementary schools and I am HAPPY to say that he didn't disappoint!   I can see a college scholarship on the horizon for you Kyle.  Keep up the great work!!!

Kyle and his buddies.

Waiting for the race to start.

Kyle's little bro, Ian, reading his book up-side-down waiting for the race to start.

Kyle's brother, Ryan is a runner too, but he wasn't old enough to race today.

And Kyle's brother, Andrew - he had a baseball game after the track meet.

Encouraging words from dad before the race.

The name tag.

The running equipment.

At the starting line.

Ready - Get Set -

GO!!!

Kyle soon passes the boy in the black shirt.

Are those girls in the race or are they chasing you, Kyle?

Good Job Kyle!

The Legendary Baldy Pipe

This was a very fun shoot with Cole, Nick and Kris.  It was a hike, but so worth it.  I think that these amazing shots speak for themselves.  There was lots of color everywhere, just tons of graffiti ! Though, it wasn't the cleanest place either.  I was amazed at the talent and speed these guys had.  I don't think skateboarding is for me though.  I'm sure that I would BREAK - my - neck!

I love all the color's in this one.
The boys call this being vert.

Nick thinks he's fast.

The skateboard fall-off-the-wall series

All three in the pipe!

The bad boys.

The instrument.

My favorite shot of the day.

Speed, speed, speed!

Mister Strong!

Do we need a tetanus shot?  Nah.

Is Nick sun tanning?

You would think that the graffiti artists could recycle!!!  I guess being GREEN isn't high on their priority list.

What a mess, can't someone clean up this place.

Hey, don't fall, Mister Poser.

What a day.  We were all hot and sweaty, but now I can't wait to go back again.
