Chantelle + Chase (SLC/LDS Temple) Destination Wedding Photographer

We had the best week ever being apart of Chantelle and Chase's Wedding!  The week started off with a very fun trip to the Posh Nail Salon.  Grandma Petersen treated five of us to fancy fingers & toes.  I absolutely loved mine and I chose the color red of course!

Before the wedding day, since I spent a week with them, we had fun shooting Chantelle and Chase before their wedding day.  We wanted to get ahead start on pictures since on their wedding day, July 29th, there were 55 other weddings at the Salt Lake Temple.  Time and location were of the utmost importance!!!

Of course, there was RAIN!!!  I didn't realize that rain is an almost daily
occurrence in July.

I love this one.  These guys just came walking down the street and wanted to be apart of the pictures.  I don't know how he keeps his tongue blue?

We ate here at the Red Iguana, wow. . . GREAT FOOD!

July 29th, The Big Day!

Love this backdrop. . . always amazing and breathtaking.

Chantelle and Chase's reception was at the Wheeler Farms.  I loved the grounds and could have spent more time walking around with the bridal party.  I loved Chantelle's choice of glass bottles and bright flowers that decorated her tables.

There was a lot of gum chewing!!!

Chase and the guys.

Love this one!

The bridesmaids.

Crazy at the Farm!!!

The farmer & wife.  Got to have a pitch fork shot if you're at a farm!

Happy Birthday Chantelle,  thanks for letting John and I be apart of you guy's special day!

Salt Lake City Engagement: Chantelle + Chase Destination Wedding Photographer

I remember that phone call back in March, 2010,  "Aunt Kaelene I'm engaged to the most wonderful guy.  His name is Chase and he has the most perfect posture.  Will you be free around the end of July to photograph our wedding?"  I was so excited for Chantelle and I couldn't wait to meet Chase.

Senior year was when they first met.  It was thru a group of mutual friends that they hung with, where they met and became good friends.  Chantelle was big into drama (oh. . . how I wished that I had made it to one of her school performances) and Chase played on the football team, his position, outside linebacker.

Scoliosis of the spine pretty much benched Chase his senior year.  The fear of his spine snapping due to a back hit, was too scary.   The day after high school graduation, Chase was in surgery having 2 rods and 13 screws put into his spine.  Now you know why the perfect posture!  He was flat on his back for weeks afterwards then in a wheelchair for another 4 months.  During this time, Chantelle spent lots of time with Chase playing video games and watching TV.  So. . . for me, it isn't too hard to see when the love started to sprout.  Sure love you two and this was such a fun day shooting pictures.

I loved shooting in downtown SLC, especially the graffiti walls with the dirt, imperfections, and color of the city.  Chantelle and Chase made it look amazing.

I loved this graffiti wall in black and white.

I wanted to see what the colors looked like in a swirl.  I know it's quite wild
to say the least, but definitely fun!  This shot caught a warm window light from the other side of the alley and they were standing inside it perfectly.

OK, the background wasn't too attractive, so take it away.  Crazy.

The hair angels.

We were driving down the street in downtown SLC when we thought we saw a Hot Dog wagon.  Of course, turning around for a HOT DOG was a Great idea with me.  When we actually got there it was a Taco Wagon!!!  I thought I was back home in LA for sure.

The train was across the street from the taco wagon, and of course when we heard
 the train. . .

Thanks Chase and Chantelle.  It was a GREAT week with you.
Wedding pictures coming soon!!!
