Kristin and Ray's Engagement Shoot - Wedding Photographer

Kristin and Ray's engagement shoot was upbeat and fun. We started off the day at the Santa Monica Pier with their GREAT beach cruiser bikes. Biking is something they like to do in their spare time and their bikes fit the beach surrounding well. The wooden boardwalk right next to the pier made for perfect pictures with their bikes, too. Always lots of things to photograph in Santa Monica.

After shooting around the pier we headed down Main Street. I love the vintage era influence in the buildings along this street, as well as, the beach atmosphere. We ate lunch at California Pizza Kitchen, then headed back to the pier by way of the Third Street Promenade. Lots of fun places for great shopping and posing along the way.

Kristin and Ray are park rangers. Last summer they were involved with saving our mountains during the horrible forest fires that we had here in Southern California. At work is where they met. Kristin and her parents have also been our neighbors for the past 10 years, until selling their home recently. They will be greatly missed.

We are very excited to shoot their upcoming wedding in March, 2010 at Green Mountain Ranch in Lytle Creek!!! Look for their upcoming wedding blog in April, 2010.

The Boardwalk.

The things you see at the pier! It had a few costumes too.

Always a sight seeing bus.

What a cool Merry Go Round!

Soon to be!

Roue & Grant Kids Photographer Los Angeles

I love photographing children, their emotions are never hidden. Roue and Grant were no different. When we arrived (John and I), Roue was having a tearful moment and Grant was trying to wake up from his nap.

Roue was quick to take me to the back yard for an adventure with toys galore and a play tower jungle gym! It didn't take him long to show me around. I jokingly asked if he had a turtle hidden somewhere in his things, well to my surprise, HE DID! Name and all, though I don't remember its name now.

After photo time in the back yard we headed to Big Dalton for more pictures. Grant really opened up here. He loved the water from the stream. Though, we left playing in the water until the end for getting wet was a given.

The Tortoise.

The boys enjoyed running across the bridge.

I loved Grant's eyes.

My favorite shot of the day.

What is it with boys and sticks?

My second favorite shot of the day.

Grant!!! Don't drink the water!

What a fun day!
